Terry Singleton

Mr. Singleton attended The University of Redlands in Redlands, California where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in 1966.  After his graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served in Military Intelligence from 1966-1970. He received a direct commission and served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969.  

After his Military service, Mr. Singleton attended Law School at The University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).  After obtaining his Juris Doctorate Degree (J.D.) he was admitted to practice law in California in 1973.

Since the 1980's Mr. Singleton has represented individuals and businesses against large corporations, utilities, governmental entities and insurance companies. Among the types of cases Mr. Singleton has been involved in include product liability cases, toxic chemical spills, maritime cases, medical malpractice actions, intellectual property issues, electrocution cases, human rights cases, dangerous condition actions against governmental entities, bomb detonation cases and cases involving serious automobile and truck accidents.  Singleton & Associates currently represent victims of the October 2007 power line fires caused by SDG&E.  In the past, the firm has obtained in excess of 50 awards or settlements in excess of $1,000,000.00.

Mr. Singleton is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of California, all California State Courts and the Federal District Court for the Southern District of California.  He is a member of the California Bar Association, the San Diego County Bar Association, the North County Bar Association, The American Trial Lawyers Association, the California Trial Lawyers Association, the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego and the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).  He has been rated AV by the Martindale-Hubbell National Legal Directory since 1985.
